Matt Cotten is a multi-media artist working in Arizona for over 15 years. He has been teaching drawing, painting, and design courses at the College of Fine Art at the University of Arizona since 1994. Cotten is very active in the Tucson warehouse arts district community as co-director of Tucson Puppet Works. Each year, this group facilitates the workshops leading up to the annual All Souls Procession. This event is a public ritual involving over six thousand people celebrating the living and honoring the dead. The event is laden with powerful images and sincere emotion. It continues to be an inspiration to the content of his paintings.
